BBC Three have just confirmed their lineup for the charity special of Graham Norton’s chat show and it has more stars on it than a clear summer night’s sky.
Comic Relief’s Big Chat with Graham Norton is all set to air at 7pm on Thursday 7 March, and the Irish funnyman will get to take over BBC Three for the whole evening, to bring his own brand of comic genius and probing interviewing skills.
The show will go on until early the next morning and as well as chatting with his famous guests, with breaks for musical interludes, Norton will also try to set the Guinness World Record for ‘Most Questions Asked on a TV Chat Show’.
Graham says: “David Walliams swam the Thames, John Bishop endured a week of hell and Eddie Izzard ran marathon after marathon after marathon. I am hoping to join this elite group of celebrity fundraisers by doing what I do best – sitting on my backside and talking.”
Guests who will be joining Graham in the studio include: Ronnie Corbett; Sarah Millican; Martin Freeman; Jimmy Carr; Lee Mack; Keith Lemon; Elle Macpherson; James Nesbitt; Paddy McGuinness; Heston Blumenthal; Louis Smith; Aston from JLS; Got To Dance Judges Ashley Banjo and Kimberley Wyatt; Warwick Davis; Alex Jones and Steve Jones; Russell Tovey; and Kirstie Allsopp. Plus musical performances will include Example, Paloma Faith, Hurts and Laura Mvula.
Because no one can carry all that alone, Graham will call in some help over the evening and will get some backup from co-hosts Sir Terry Wogan, Frank Skinner and One Direction’s favourite DJ Nick Grimshaw.
Greg James will also have a role and he’ll be providing coverage of the ‘Big Chat Backstage Party’ throughout the evening, chatting with the stars over the night before and after they have their time on air with Graham.
Viewers will be able to help Graham raise money for Comic Relief, by choosing to give either £5 or £10 and then texting FIVE or TEN to 70510.
