Maxwell Caulfield Cries Over Emmerdale Storylines

Emmerdale actor Maxwell Caulfield has admitted that he is often moved to tears by his storylines on the show.

Caulfield said that he often draws on sad experiences in his own life to help him play out the part.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Caulfield explained: “This show makes me [cry] bi-weekly. Mark is being put through the mangle. I get genuinely sad sometimes.

“There’s more sadness in your life as you get older as more people have passed away and as more pets are cremated and buried at the end of the garden, so there’s more to draw on.”

Asked about his relationship with fellow cast members, he joked: “I hate them all. Ha ha. No, we’re a harmonious and hardworking group, bound by the challenge of cranking out five shows a week. But what I like about this show is that if you get a good storyline, you really get a good storyline.”

  1. Johb Lodge says:

You need to suspend belief to watch Emmerdale.
Would a bigamist arrange a public renewal of his marriage vows knowing his real wife was in the area.
Why were the villagers who hardly know them turn out in force for the “marriage” but no relations, Brothers, sisters, parents personal friends.
    Emmerdale is crap

  2. Just watched grease 2 and realised it was you who stared in it i spotted the likeness.
