The McBusted lads will be joining the One Direction boys during their show in Copenhagen, Denmark tonight.

The show, taking place in National Stadium Parken, is part of One Direction’s wildly successful Where We Are worldwide stadium tour, which will see them on the road until October 2014. 1D should have been supported by 5SOS but scheduling difficulties cropped up for the boyband and they announced last week that they were being replaced by the lads of Mc Fly and Busted for the first time.

Niall Horan was pretty psyched about the announcement and told fans he felt like Christmas had come early. He’s struck up a close friendship with the McBusted lads during a number of song writing sessions over the past two years.

McBusted seemed very excited about the pairing too, tweeting yesterday;

The boys have also excited fans today by taking to their personal accounts to tweet of their Danish escapades.

Earlier today, McBusted boys Harry and Danny both tweeted images of the boys backstage forming a human pyramid;

Whilst Tom Fletcher shared the love for Sweden and Copenhagen;

James Bourne also posted this Vine from the streets of Denmark;

However, this isn’t the first time the two groups have collaborated in some way. Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and Danny Jones of McFly have previously written songs for the 1D boys, including ‘I Want’ from the group’s debut album ‘Up All Night’, ‘I Would’ and ‘Irresistable’ from ‘Take Me Home’ and more recently, ‘Don’t Forget Where You Belong’ from ‘Midnight Memories’.

Several reports have also indicated that the two bands have been locked away together in recent months, writing new music. However, it is at yet unclear who the new music will be for.

Here’s one the McFly boy’s had to say about writing with Niall Horan last year;
