Producers of CSI Miami have cast Megalyn Echikunwoke as a new coroner for the show, after Khandi Alexander left the show last season.

Echikunwoke will play a medical examiner who hits it off right from the beginning with David Caruso’s Horatio Caine and his forensic team.

Echikunwoke previously appeared on The 4400′s and the first season of 24.
