Michelle Ryan Loves Merlin Role
Former Bionic Woman actress, Michelle Ryan has revealed that the role of Nimueh in BBC One drama, Merlin, has been one of her favourite roles to date. Michelle is thrilled that what was intended to be a one episode job has spun into something much more substantial.
Ryan told MSN: “I think it has been one of my favourite jobs ever. I say that about every job but they just keep getting better and better.
“The character arc of Nimueh has been really exciting because initially it was supposed to be one episode and then she has just grown as a character. You get to see a bit of her back story and why she’s so bitter and evil. It just makes it much more interesting to play.”
Michelle loved playing an evil character for once, she said: “Normally I play good girls with a twist or a dark side or an edge. But Nimueh is really bad. She comes across as completely sweet, that’s the whole point of Nimueh. She’s incredibly two-faced in that she appears really sweet and innocent but actually she’s malicious and vindictive.”
Michelle also confirmed today that she has no intentions of returning to her role of Zoe Slater in Eastenders.
You can see Michelle in Merlin on BBC One on Saturday September 20.
