Miley Cyrus recently spoke with British Cosmopolitan magazine and we shared part of that interview yesterday where the young star reflected on the whirlwind of a year she has had.
The US singer has made a bit of a reputation for herself lately following a controversial performance at the MTV VMAs with Robin Thicke and the music video for ‘Wrecking Ball’.
Speaking with British Cosmopolitan though the former Disney Channel star believes that for women she is a source of empowerment
Following her performance at the MTV VMAs many believe she went too far and many have commented on the drastic change the 20 year old has had from Hannah Montana into the young woman she is today.
The ‘Wrecking Ball’ star claimed in the interview that because she isn’t “typically beautiful” she feels a force for good when it comes to women and rights.
Cyrus said: “I’m a feminist in the way that I’m really empowering to women…I’m loud and funny, and not typically beautiful.
She continued “When do I feel at my sexiest? After I’ve eaten something really healthy and done Pilates, and I’m wearing tight leggings. When I’m in gym clothes I actually feel sexy and healthy, so sometimes I’ll stay in them all day!”
Miley also went on to speak about her loyalty and said:
“I’m good to work with. I’m proud of that; I have a good reputation. I’m a really loyal person and if I dig you, I’m all the way down. But if you f**k me over, I’m all the way up.”
“It’s like, once shame on you, twice shame on me. You’re the dumb one if you let someone back into your life and they s**t on you again.”
