The past few days we’ve been giving you snippets from the interview with Miley Cyrus in British Cosmopolitan magazine and we’ve got another one for you.
Miley Cyrus seems to be going through a mix of emotions right now as earlier we reported she spoke of how she felt empowering towards women and now she’s talking about disliking the media attention.
Miley Cyrus is definitely the hot topic right now, she’s everywhere, everyone wants a piece of her and it doesn’t look like she’ll be saying no anytime soon, however according to the interview with Cosmopolitan – she isn’t a fan of the media attention.
This may just be another stunt for more attention or perhaps she is being genuine and really isn’t being controversial just for attention, maybe she’s doing it because that’s what she wants to do? Who knows. You can make up your own mind.
The 20 year old singer though said that she can’t stand having her private life all over the press on a daily basis (good thing we don’t do that!).
She said: “The biggest misconception about me is that I like the media attention. I wish I could be who I am without the fame. If everyone would still buy my records and if everything would go to No.1 in 30 seconds or whatever. that’d be great.”
Miley also spoke about trying to “live without any regrets” because any mistakes she does make will be public knowledge almost immediately:
“I live without any regrets ‘ you can’t change anything, so I don’t think about it. But would I ever want a ‘normal’ life? Yeah, there are definitely times when I wake up and wish I could go out without being photographed.”
She continued: “I don’t care if people recognise me and say ‘hey’, but I don’t want to be stopped. I want to just walk around and see new cities.”
In another interview elsewhere Miley Cyrus also praised fellow singers Katy Perry and even Kanye West for giving her support during a difficult period in her career:
“The support of other artists is important because there are not many people who can relate to what I’m going through right now. Kanye West is one of those people, and even Katy Perry has been so cool.”
She added: “It’s easy for Kanye to support me because we’re in totally separate lanes of competition, but for Katy to say that she appreciates what I’m really doing for the pop industry, that keeps you going.”
“And I mean, who cares what the media buzz is if Kanye West is telling you that you’re the sh*t?”
