Recently Miley Cyrus has been one of the most talked about stars in recent times, that’s clear, no statistics required. Everywhere you look she’s there in some shape or form.
Namely her performance at the MTV VMAs had been the topic of many discussions as it seemed to be the transition from the Disney channel star we once knew into, well, the Miley Cyrus of the future?
The 20 year old star has recently released her fourth studio album ‘Bangerz’ which features the tracks ‘We Can’t Stop’ and ‘Wrecking Ball’ – the video for which broke the record for most views on VEVO and once again caused some controversy.
Miley Cyrus recently spoke in an interview about bursting back onto the scene after three years away and she also discussed her fans and how happy she is that they’re still as supportive:
“It feels pretty sick. Only because I have been gone for a few years, where I wasn’t doing anything and I wasn’t working. So now it feels like all that work in the studio did pay off.”
Miley also spoke about her recent image change and said: “Once I did ‘We Can’t Stop’, that’s when people really started trusting me.”
“At first on paper that video sounded insane, no one understood it and I’m just like, ‘let me film it and then if it doesn’t work out you never have to trust me again but if it works out you have to let me drive this ship, you know I’m on to something.'”
She continued: “And then they call me and they’re like, ‘yo, you’re onto something!'”
Miley also added that she is trustworthy because she’s aware of what people her age want:
“I’m going out, I know what they want to hear. I know when you’re in a club, what makes everyone go crazy and when the time is where everyone’s like “alright I’m going go get a drink”.”
“I know when people walk off the dance floor and I know what’s driving it so I’ve got to be the one doing it because they’re just not in on what 20 year olds are doing.”
If you haven’t heard it yet then have a listen to ‘Wrecking Ball’ by Miley Cyrus below which is taken from her new album ‘Bangerz’.
