Former Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus looks set to score two number 1’s this week with her single ‘Wrecking Ball’ and her fourth album ‘Bangerz’.

According to data released by the Official Charts Company earlier today, in this midweek update the 20 year old is leading the race in both the Official Singles and Albums chart.

For this part, the Official Singles Chart, Miley Cyrus is set to use her ‘Wrecking Ball’ to storm the charts and knock last weeks Number (1) OneRepublic four places into Number (5).

According to the Official Charts Company if Miley Cyrus can score a number 1 album and single then she will be the first artist in 2013 to score the double.

Miley Cyrus only scored her first UK number 1 a couple of months ago when ‘We Can’t Stop’ shot to the top of the charts but now ‘Wrecking Ball’ looks set without a shadow of a doubt to become her second after a sales count of nearly 62,000 copies and we’re only at the mid week stage.

Elsewhere in the top 5 (where the first four are all new releases) at Number (2) Eminem looks set to return to the charts with ‘Bezerk’ which is 18,000 copies behind Miley Cyrus and as of this morning the video for the track has had almost 205 million views on YouTube.

‘Bezerk’ is taken from Eminem’s eighth studio album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ which is due to be released in the UK next month.

Other new entries in the Top 10 this week include James Blunt who for the first time in six years is back with ‘Bonfire Heart’ which is at Number (6).

‘Cheating’ by John Newman is at Number (7) while ‘Heartbreaker’ by Justin Bieber is at Number (8).

Finally ‘The Fox’ by Norwegian comedy duo Bard and Vegard Ylvisaker has entered the top 40 this week at Number (34) with their viral track which features cheesy dances moves like ‘Gangnam Style’.
