Miley Cyrus has gone through quite a bit lately following her image change, raunchy performance at the MTV VMAs, music videos where she is practically naked and general change from the Disney Channel star most know her for.
The 20 year old has commented though in an interview with a French radio station and has said that she won’t change her image just to please those who give her negative comments.
Miley Cyrus spoke openly during an interview with NRJ – a French radio show and she spoke about recent events: “I feel like the best way of fighting my haters is just keep letting them do what they do and don’t let them faze you, just keep doing what you do.”
She continued: “Success is the best form of revenge.”
Miley Cyrus also spoke about how she hopes to set a positive example on her fans with her own outlook on life:
“I’m on such a platform where I can speak to so many people and I think it’s important to send a message to my audience, and say be who you are, do what you do, be who you wanna be, live your life and don’t worry about what people have to say about it.”
The star also spoke about meeting some of the world’s most powerful figures including The Queen in 2009 at the Royal Variety Performance:
“Actually meeting her was scarier than the performance because I had to remember so much.”
She also mentioned performing for US President Barack Obama:
“It was kind of insane for me when I had to perform for the president. That was kind of crazy… Obama is the coolest person ever.”
“He represents our country well and what we should be representing, something new and freedom and being capable of anything you want to do. That was one of the coolest things I’ve gotten to do.”
