If you don’t want to know anything in advance of Lost’s season five airing, then please don’t read this article as it contains spoilers. If however you can’t wait until February for Lost news, read on!

First up, there have been some new trailers/spoilers/possible red herrings/easter egss released, and here’s the first one in which the ever changing Edgar Halliwax/Marvin Candle etc., tells us his real name and predicts the future! I’m not sure if it’s Daniel whose voice it is we hear in the background… what do you think?

Then there’s this clip which seems to explain some stuff about DHARMA but again, real or red herring/easter egg?

The Oceanic Six do make it back to the island!

Emilie De Ravin has confirmed that she won’t be doing any filming for Season 5.

Daniel, Miles and Charlotte are going to feature heavily in season 5 and Daniel definitely survived.

The Black Rock will be explained.

One of the following will die in the first five episodes: Charlotte, Juliet, Miles, Penny, Richard, Rose, or Sawyer.

It seems that the final season 6 will have a finale that takes place on the island.

The opening scene of the season premiere, ‘Because You Left,’ features Sawyer, Bernard, Rose, and Juliet. They appeared to be having a conversation in the jungle. The second scene showed Charlotte and Miles going back to camp.

There are DHARMA stations all over the world, not just on the island.

And here’s some big Penny – Desmond news! Penny and Desmond are living on the run and Desmond wants a child. Penny isn’t sure she wants to expose a little kid to their fugitive lifestyle but the decision is out of her hands when she finds out she’s pregnant. A doctor tells them about “incomprehensible abnormalities in Desmond’s sperm” so does this mean the baby will be deformed?

Ben is hot on their trail and Desmond buys a gun from a street dealer. Ben nearly catches Desmond a few times and Desmond has to rescue Penny once. Ben’s angry and adrift in the world and possibly in time. He travels to North Africa and finds a Dharma station located there. There, he finds Widmore’s security chief and tortures the man until he gives up Penny’s current location which it turns out is in Mati.

In Mati, Ben knocks out a cook at an oceanfront restaurant and poisons Penny’s food however when he finds out that Penny is pregnant, he stops the waiter from delivering the food. Later, on Penny’s boat which is docked nearby, Penny is terrible pain and Desmond goes for a doctor. He sees Ben on his knees, weeping, in an alleyway.

Desmond brings the village doctor onto the boat, but the doctor is clueless about what’s wrong with her. Soon after however, he delivers her baby safely but tells Desmond to rush the boat to a nearby coastal village. Desmond runs from the village and has some kind of crazy body spasm — is he time-travelling again? Are there segments of this episode where Desmond is in another time frame?

This next bit relates to the video of Hurley and Sayid that shows them going to an apartment block. See our previous Lost Spoiler blog for that one. Anyway, the two drive into the apartment complex parking lot in a late-model blue SUV – it and the other cars have California plates. They exit the car, Sayid looking sharp in a black shirt and dark khaki pants, Hurley wearing a thick, long, grey bathrobe over a blue T-shirt. Hurley’s also holding a big burger and paper cup.

They make their way stealthily up the stairs, and walk the length of the building, past several apartments. They work their way up to the top floor, Hurley eating the whole way. Finally they reach the apartment they’re looking for and they pause to confer for a moment. Sayid seems to reach for the top of the door, looking for a key perhaps, when something startles them. Sayid pushes Hurley aside, and draws his gun, pointing it at the door. It opens and there’s a struggle inside. The next moment, Sayid throws a man over the railing to the asphalt four stories below.

There’s a second man inside. Shots ring out. Hurley emerges from the apartment, gun in his hand, and looks over the railing in disbelief. Could Sayid be introducing Hurley to a new career working for Ben?

The Lost crew converted the public pool at Kaneohe District Park into a dark, angry ocean to film a scene which sees Sawyer, Juliet, Miles, Daniel, Charlotte and Locke paddling frantically in a canoe.

Manufactured rain poured down while the crew made waves and rocked the boat. Large overhead lights created lightning, large fans created a huge wind. Dialogue was hard to make out this report said but Sawyer seemed to yell for them to go back, but then someone sees or hears something and they begin paddling in earnest towards it, trying to avoid capsizing and shielding their eyes from the flashes.
