Moving Wallpaper Will Return But What About Echo Beach?
ITV have revealed that it intends to commission a second series of Moving Wallpaper, it’s Friday night behind-the-scenes sitcom.
But it’s not such good news for Echo Beach, the actual soap affiliated with the comedy. A Source told The Sun:
“Moving Wallpaper is returning. We made the call to Kudos Productions on Saturday after reading TV Biz. But we’re not sure what will happen to Echo Beach. It will either have a few episodes or run on the internet.”
I have watched most episodes of most shows, and like many others I much preferred Moving Wallpaper. I loved Jonathan Pope’s cutting wit, coupled with his absolute stupidity. Echo Beach should have been brilliant. It had a cast containing some very seasoned and talented actors, the involvement of Jason Donovan, Martine McCutcheon and Johnny Briggs should have guaranteed it more success than it acheived.
The main problem was that people found it diificult to take the show very seriously. If I had watched it first, maybe I could have become involved, but having watched Moving Wallpaper beforehand, I was always looking for the ‘in’ jokes. I was constantly imagining Jonathan behind the scenes pissing off the actors, or shouting at the staff and I was never able to focus on the storyline at hand.
So I’m curious to know. Will you miss Echo Beach? Will you miss Jason Donovan (I know I will!)? Or are you glad that very shortly, Friday nights will be Cornwall free!

I think echo beach should come back on, i think it was brill and it is a shame if it does not come back.
I think Echo Beach was brilliant and should definitely come back on. I much preferred it to Moving Wallpaper and the males of the cast were gorgeous! I for one will be very dissapointed if MW returns without it.

I Loved echo beach i thught it was great i didnt really watch moving wallpaper except the last 2 episodes.
When was echo beach on last time i frget anyway i wish echo beach would start again the last episode was so intersting you jus need to know what happens
I really loved echo beach… just recently bought the box set and I’m trying to get into Moving Wallpaper, its ok but I think without echo beach it will be even worse, they are a pair and I dont think they should be split up…. echo beach really is amazing, and has some great talent in it
Moving wallpaper will not work without echo beach, I loved echo beach-bring it back.
