I dont think there is anything wrong with having one arm,,I have a great-niece that was born in Jan 09 missing her right hand and forearm born with (ABS)..I have two sons 2 and 6 so I decided that I would sit down and talk to my 6 year old and also my 2 yr old he may have not understood but my 6 yr old did, they were not scared at all when they meet their cousin..I think that the parents that are saying the children are having nightmares should really talk to the children because in this real world no one is perfect and you cant protect your child from everything

Yet again the scumbag idiot classes strike again. If you put your fag down and stop drinking your lager for five minutes you might take the time to actually talk to your children for five minutes about disability.
Then they might grow up being less ignorant then their parents.
Cerrie does a great job and my 3 yr old no longer mentions her disability as i have explained it to her and she accepts it totally. Descrimination is taught we are not born with it. im glad to say that comments of support for cerrie far out weight the idiots of society.

im 14 so i dont know much about children, but i do have a 2 year old sister who watches cbbies. i am also doing a gcse in child development and we talk about what small children think about disabiltys and deformaties. i feel that it is not fair for people to discrimanate someone because of the way they look. if the children dont see pepople with deformaties early in their lives it would be a big shock to them in the future. it is also reasuring for children with disabilitys to see someone with same or simalar propplems on the television!

I didnt even watch this but I read about it today in the paper. It’s disgusting. Half an arm, 1 leg or an eye patch doesn’t make any difference as long as you can do the job your asked to do. One guy said he’s banned his kid from watching it because it might give them nightmares…maybe he should teach his child that some people are born with a limb or that some people lose them in accidents. She should stay where she is, I didnt see it but obviously she’s good if she got the job in the first place over fully limbed people who were probably rubbish.

Cerrie was born without half of her arm, whats the big deal? She is amazing, very talented and a lovely lady. I wouldnt class her as disabled as to me she is just a normal person who just happens to miss half an arm. Shes not a monster and my kids think shes great, as do i.Shes certainly not scary. The people who have a problem with Cerrie are the ones with the problems. WE LOVE CERRIE!!!

Why don’t these people spend some time explaining to their children that every person is different. Some have different skin colours, some wear glasses, some have curly hair and some have disabilities. Kids are surprisingly adaptable and in a world where everything is new to a young child, they will take this all on board with no problems.

Kids are of course curious about anyone different to themselves. Many times when out in public my kids will stare at people in wheelchairs and ask awkward questions about the lady who is even smaller than them.

But that is just the point, they are curious, not horrified. Kids attitudes to disabled people will be shaped by their parents. I fear for the children of people so prejudiced as the ones who complained about Cerries presence on TV!

I hope Cerrie reads this, Cos im sure she would make you
her manager..Gawd you use words iv never even heard of!

Anyway the mums that moaned are probably the `Hoity Toity`
ones..that are so rich, they dont have F*ck all else to do.

Maybe they should sit and explain to a child why this happens
and spent less time on forums moaning about it!
