Natalie Cassidy certainly needed a style makeover and we quite like the result of her recent trip to the hairdresser.

The former Eastenders actress stepped out this week, sporting a sleek bob, which is much tidier than her normal trailing locks. The mum of one also changed away from her usual mousy brown to vibrant red tresses and looked very glam indeed.

The makeover no doubt has something to do with Cassidy’s new single status, after she dumped her fiance Adam Cottrell earlier this year.

The 31 year old assaulted Natalie in her London home, and has since pleaded guilty to counts of assault and criminal damage when he was in court in June. He wasn’t jailed but was given a restraining order and was banned from contacting his ex.

Natalie – best known as Walford’s Sonia Jackson, a role she played from 1993 to 2007 – has also shed three stone since their breakup and in a recent interview revealed that she is now at her ideal weight. She said:

‘“I have been through the mill with weight. I have been a size six, I’ve been a size 16 – bordering on an 18. But I am a size 10 now, and I feel that I am the weight I should be.’
