NBC sources have revealed that the network is putting a hold on the six part Heroes spinof, Heroes: Origins, partly because of the predicted writers strike in the US.
The show had attracted big names such as Eli Roth, Kevin Smith and Michael Dougherty (Superman Returns) and was set to air early next year while Heroes was on hiatus.
NBC has now stopped work on the production indefinitely, however sources suggest that the may be revived in the future, possibly as early as next season.
