It’s not just Ducky who’s getting a flashback episode to his younger days this season. As it has been confirmed by TVLine that Tanner Stine will play a young Tony DiNozzo!
One thing we’ve noticed about NCIS this season is the personal aspect of the agents lives, we saw Adam Campbell as a young Ducky, which further revealed more about his past. Alongside this, the elusive Jake was finally revealed in the Thanksgiving episode and Abby has found herself a new man.
It has been revealed that we’re set to see young Tony around February time and according to the report, the flashbacks will focus on Tony’s teenage years, as he attends a military preparatory academy. From the report, he will come back into contact with his mentor and basketball coach, played by Steve Harris and we’ll see him in the present day at the military academy and the past.
Of course, we’ve seen plenty of DiNozzo’s past before he came to NCIS, but this look into his younger years certainly sounds very intriguing. What will we learn about one of the show’s most loved characters?
The 19-year-old Tanner Stine set to take on the role of teen Tony has previously appeared in ‘Haunted Hathaways’, ‘Bambi Cottages’ and ‘The Thundermans’. Ahead of his guest star spot, NCIS executive producer Gary Glasberg has had fantastic things to say about the young actor as he discussed his first audition.
Glasberg called him a ‘terrific kid’ who really did his research, studying Michael Weatherly’s mannerisms and even had a Tony esque hair cut! It seems that Stine was a shoe in for the role, after the exec producer admitted he really did blow them away at his first audition!
