Nigel Slater’s Simple Suppers – Recipes

nigel-slater

Grilled lamb with feta and lemon; Thai-inspired noodle sou; and a tasty smokey tomato sauce for pasta are on the menu this week, as Nigel Slater continues to share his passion for easy-to-make, delicious food.

Most people don’t have time to follow cookery books and, in this series, there’s no need to write down complicated recipes as Nigel’s unflustered style makes these feasts easy to remember.

Taking inspiration from his vegetable patch, Nigel shows how combinations of ingredients that grow in the same place, at the same time, often make the ideal starting point for a dish. He visits local allotment holder Bernita and makes a tempting supper of beetroot and potato fritters with the fruits of her labours.

Where can I get Nigel’s recipe for the pudding with raspberries, oats and cream he did in his programme this week without having to buy a recipe book?

This is certainly unreality tv , i watch with interest to see what ingredients nigel has at hand in his posh kitchen in this probable million pound house.
Simple suppers, what a load of bollocks, who has goats cheese, glugs of honey and lavender growing in the garden, i always have a handful of fresh herbs on hand with anchovies and parmesan, what happened to cheese on toast or baked beans they are simple suppers for the majority of us who have to ‘trudge to the shops’ as nigel puts it.
