Scotland’s Nina Nesbitt may only be 19 years old but she’s had a remarkable career already and we see her growing more and more in the years to come.
She began her music career at the age of 16 playing a host of intimate shows in Edinburgh and Manchester and her success has continued to grow since then with the release of her EP’s and now her debut album.
Yesterday Nina took to Twitter to reveal to her fans that her debut album would be known as ‘Peroxide’ and also told her adoring fans that they could get their hands on the debut album from the 17th of February 2014.
Though she isn’t a household name (yet) the half Scottish, half Swedish singer-songwriter already has great reviews from the media and one in particular is quite possibly the best way to describe Nina and her music:
‘in the remarkably unlikely event that Taylor Swift and KT Tunstall had a lovechild, chances are that it would sound a lot like Nina Nesbitt: big of voice, sweet of look and ready of song… The new Taylor McSwift?’ – Evening Standard
Not only did the young singer announce her debut album but she also shared details of three headline shows to promote the offering which would take place in March 2014.
Beginning on the 21st of March Nina will visit Manchester before coming home to Edinburgh and finishing up in London.
- 21st March – The Ritz – Manchester
- 22nd March – Picture House – Edinburgh
- 25th March – O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire – London
Tickets for the London show go on sale at 9am on Friday 29th November priced £15 (subject to per-ticket charge plus order processing fee) and are available from www.livenation.co.uk or www.ticketmaster.co.uk
The track listing for the debut album ‘Peroxide’ looks something like this and of course a deluxe version will be available and will feature some of her original material.
