ER star Noah Wyle, has said that the final season of the show will be ‘very exciting’ for the fans.

Wyle was interviewed at a Los Angeles to celebrate the forthcoming inaugration of Barack Obama, he said: “I’m just coming from work now and the scripts are excellent, and they’ve got quite a few of us old chickens (to) come home to roost.”

Noah plays the gorgeous John Carter on the show, he left during season 11 but is returning for a stint in this final series.

Noah gave many hints earlier in the year about whop would make a comeback to the show but this week remained tight-lipped about further spoilers. “I got in trouble last time I gave some hints – they got mad at me. I’m not allowed to talk about it.”

Noah said returning to the ER set was “sort of half family reunion, half high school reunion. It’s the funniest place in the world”.
