ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY: THE TOUR DOCUMENTARY

This hour-long documentary follows Peter Kay behind the scenes on his phenomenal Mum Wants a Bungalow tour.

Peter performed a record breaking 180 nights nationwide, receiving mass critical acclaim and smashing box office records playing to over half a million people. The film gives viewers a first-hand view of Peter’s life on the road, from his preparations to go on stage and relaxing in his dressing room with family and friends to meeting his fans up and down Britain.

The film features an interview with Peter, where he shares his touring anecdotes, including the story of how Amarillo became the theme song for the tour. The film also includes new stand-up from Peter Kay on the tour, seen for the very first time on British television.

I like Peter Kay. But it seems he got a mate of his with possibly a VHS camcorder to make this programme. The camera work was awful. The sound in the theatre sections was obviously just the camera microphone picking up the auditorium speakers, rather than a feed to the camcorder. Most amateur videographers could have made a far better job. The editing was pretty appalling as well. It was, to be honest, embarrassing to watch.
