Last weekend Miley Cyrus topped the charts twice in one week with her single ‘Wrecking Ball’ and her new album ‘Bangerz’. This made her the first artist to do so in 2013.

According to information released by the Official Charts Company earlier today in the midweek chart update her reign at the top may not last much longer as we head into the weekend.

As we draw to closer to Sunday it looks like the Official Single Chart is hotting up again as Lawson and OneRepublic are battling it out to knock the former Disney channel star off the top.

According to the information released by the Official Charts Company earlier there are a mere 4,000 copies between the top 3 with OneRepublic and ‘Counting Stars’ leading the way at Number (1).

Taking a look at the Top 5 currently in this midweek race Miley Cyrus and ‘Wrecking Ball’ falls into Number (2) while Lawson are new in at Number (3) with ‘Juliet’.

This will be the first time in 12 years that Cher has charted in the Official Single Chart Top 40 and will be her 33rd overall single to have done so. ‘I Hope You Find It’ sits at Number (24).
