Oprah Winfrey really is taking over the world! Not only is she one of the richest women ever, but now the lady is launching her very own TV network.

Winfrey will become chairwoman of OWN - the Oprah Winfrey Network - which will be available in 70m American homes via satellite.

Although Oprah will not be able to appear much on the channel due to constrictions of her current chat show contract, the network will concentrate on subjects close to her heart, such as money, health and relationships.

“This is an evolution of what I’ve been able to do every day,” Winfrey said.

“I will now have the opportunity to do this 24 hours a day on a platform that goes on forever,” she added.
