‘Orange Is The New Black’ is one of the most popular shows video streaming service Netflix has to offer and fans eagerly anticipating the release of its third season.
The show is a Netflix exclusive similar to ‘House of Cards’ and Lea DeLaria who plays ‘Boo’ on the show has proven that just like her character, she’s not to be messed with.
A video has surfaced online which shows the actress on a New York City subway, which sounds pretty harmless and you’re right, people take the subway daily and if you’re in New York you certainly run into some characters – like Lea did with a pretty enthusiastic preacher.
A video, which first surfaced on TMZ yesterday, shows Delaria shutting down the religious zealot, who she believed to be homophobic, in front of a packed subway train and something about the clip just reminded us of ‘Boo’.
As the man launched into a rant against gay people, the actress hit out:
“You have no right! Go to another train. Get off this train.”
“Other people believe other things and have every right to believe other things on this planet and in this world.” she continued.
“We do not have to be force-fed this man’s religious beliefs. Jesus never said for you to do this — ever! It’s not anywhere in the Bible.”
The preacher seemed unfazed and his back, shouting:
“This is not Sodom and Gomorrah,”
Proving that she’s not one to be messed with the actress also said: “Don’t come at me because I went to f***ing Catholic school for 12 years and I know every line.”
Check out two of the videos that surfaced below and let us know what you think in the comments below. Was Lea right to do this, is there a time and a place for people to preach?
