During his last series Parkinson spoke to luminaries including Dame Helen Mirren, Cameron Diaz, Ben Elton, Daniel Craig, Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman, Peter Kay, Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Michael Caine.

Michael said “It’s good to be back with some great guests for the first show. We’ve also got some surprising and exciting personalities lined up for the rest of what is shaping up to be a really strong series.”

Parkinson has also proved to be the show of choice for many of the world’s best music talents. The previous series in 2006 saw exclusive performances from some of the biggest names in the business including Take That, Paolo Nutini, James Morrison, Paul Simon, Tony Bennett, Rod Stewart, Corrine Bailey Rae and Razorlight.
