Harley Street actor, Paul Nicholls, has said that he is confident the show will be given a second series, despite poor viewing figures for it’s first this summer.

The show launched with 3.9m viewers on July 17, but figures had dropped to just 2.74m when it wrapped up six weeks later.

Nicholls, who plays Robert Fielding, has claimed that the show was never suited to a summer schedule and hopes that ITV bosses realise their mistake.

He told the Daily Star: “It’s a winter show really. We got lost stuck in the middle of summer and bosses know that now, thankfully.”
