Philip Glenister revealed that he wants to move onto theatre work after Ashes To Ashes.

According to the Daily Express the actor said: “I’d like to do a new play, probably at the National.

“I’d like it there because they do it in repertory so you’re not working every night and you get a bit of time off, too.”

Philip admitted he has a short attention span saying:

“My problem is my boredom threshold’s very low, so I love the rehearsal process but once I’m up and running I can find it a bit repetitive.

“I don’t think you’ll be seeing me in a musical like Hairspray any time soon – but something at the National, I’d like that.”
