Now we all know that Alison DiLaurentis is a riddle wrapped inside an enigma – but is she really a murderer?
Well, when Pretty Little Liars returns to our screens in January the Liars will be desperate to get justice for Mona and put an end to all the ‘A’ games by proving that Alison really did murder Mona. However, we’re not all that convinced she did it.
Maybe the mysterious Carla Grunwald can tell us more on this front?
Ahead of the January 6th return of one of our favorite shows, the full synopsis has been released leading up to “Through a Glass, Darkly”.
While we know already that this installment will mark Mona’s funeral, the synopsis also confirms that a whole 3 months has gone by between the events of last week’s Christmas special and the start of 5B. Which explains why Toby is up and about after his broken leg too.
Following on from this time jump, Mona’s friends and family are more convinced than ever that Alison had something to do with her demise. The Liars will ramp up their search for evidence that their once best friend is in fact the culprit, but in PLL style there’s sure to be a few surprises along the way.
Despite her upcoming run in with Mona’s mother, Alison will still claim her innocence but also she has what seems like an airtight alibi. Not trusting her, the Liars may well have to resort to some underhand tactics to put her away once and for all. In the Christmas special, we were forced to question whether or not we trust Holbrook, so the girls task may have just got ten times harder!
Carla Grunwald is returning in the episode too, so it’ll be interesting to see what say she has in things. Given that she seems to have a “sixth sense”. Alongside all the Ali and ‘A’ related drama, Emily will be in a tricky situation when her and Paige reach a crossroads in their relationship. Aria will also begin to worry about her future – we would too if we spent all our time chasing down a psycho stalker!
In this latest sneak peek which you can view in full below, Jason returns and asks Alison where she was on Thanksgiving. Alison then proceeds to claim she’s being framed and that she wishes she never came home.
Who do you think killed Mona? Speculate in the comments below please!
