Primeval Cancelled!
ITV has today confirmed that it is to axe sci-fi show Primeval after three very successful series.
“After three very successful series of Primeval there are no plans at the present time for it to return to ITV. High-quality drama remains a key part of the ITV schedule although our current focus is on post-watershed productions,” an ITV spokesman said in a statement.
High quality drama…..emmmm where exactly would I find that on ITV?
You would think that having made a reasonably successful (ratings averaged 5 million) and original TV show, ITV would invest some time and money into it instead spending all of their budget on reality TV talent shows.
Now I LOVE X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent more than the average bear, but I also realise that ITV is sorely lacking in good quality, family friendly TV shows. BBC has Doctor Who and Merlin, ITV has…..well nothing now.
If rumours are true then ITV have axed the show due to budget constraints. However there were other solutions. Impossible Pictures who make the show, suggested that they split the costs and raise money by offering the show to the Sci-Fi channel with ITV retaining the right to debut it terrestrially. ITV said no, preferring instead to blow their money on a £400,000 pay rise for Ms Cheryl Cole.

NO!!! this cant be true… no… please, im 12, im crying like a 3 year old… Primeval is the best series on ITV and i want to su that “spoke person” from ITV… omg, this is so unfair… D*=> PLZ HELP SAVE PRIMEVAL.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! ITV WHAT ARE YOU THINKING???? Primeval is the best programme ever and I don’t get why you’d want to cancel a show with such good viewership, do you want to go bankrupt? Clearly you must enjoy making a loss, and I for one am going to boycott all ITV channels from now on… well actually no other ITV programme is worth watching so without Primeval, why would I bother putting ITV on at all?
