Meet the Oceanside Wellness Team:

Dr Addison Forbes Montgomery (played by Kate Walsh)

Addison is the latest recruit, and as one of the foremost neo-natal surgeons in the world she joins Oceanside as their OB/GYN, having completed fellowships in maternal-fetal medicine and medical genetics.

Although Dr. Montgomery likes to think of herself as Oceanside’s “interloper,” she’s really no stranger to the Group. Dr. Montgomery met Oceanside’s very own Dr. Naomi Bennett and Dr. Sam Bennett in medical school. The three doctors have remained close friends and look forward to working together once again. Originally from Manhattan, Dr. Montgomery says she’s looking forward to life in Los Angeles. And, if she’s not treating patients, she’ll be embracing her new life; walking on the beach or dancing naked.

Naomi Bennett (played by Audra McDonald)

Dr. Naomi Bennett is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and fertility specialist, as well as a founding partner of the Oceanside Wellness Group, along with estranged husband Sam, who also still works at the practice. Dr. Bennett lives in Hancock Park where she enjoys cheesecake lots and lots of cheesecake. Which is of course followed by an hour on the treadmill every night and Pilates three times a week. Dr. Bennett also has a 13-year-old daughter, Maya, who she feels is growing up entirely too fast.

Sam Bennett (played byTaye Diggs)

Dr. Sam Bennett, or “Doctor Feelgood” as he’s known to patients across the globe, is another founding partner of the Oceanside Wellness Group and the practice’s internist. He is the author of the bestselling nonfiction book, Body Language: The Mind-Body Connection. Dr. Bennett met Dr. Naomi Bennett in medical school at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. The two eventually married, but recently divorced, amicably-ish…

Dr Pete Wilder (played by Tim Daly)

A sexy alternative medicine doc, Dr Pete Wilder (Addison’s ‘will they-won’t they’ love interest), Dr. Pete brings the power of holistic healing to Oceanside. He often provides patients with complete, holistic birth plans, and is also responsible for the institution of a strict “no consorting” rule among the practitioners at the Oceanside Wellness Group. A widower, Dr. Wilder says he is beginning to enjoy living in Los Angeles…

Dr Cooper Freedman (played by Paul Adelstein)

A pediatrician with a penchant for dating the wrong kind of women, Dr. Cooper’s success in his profession belies his rocky personal life. He’s a serial internet dater who is always attracted to the wrong woman. Most dates end badly for him…Cooper finds solace and counsel in his closest friend, co-op psychiatrist Dr. Violet Turner.

Dr Violet Turner (played by Amy Brenneman)

Dr. Violet Turner is no luckier in love. Able to deftly advise her patients in their relationships, she’s intense, determined and unwilling to let outsiders see the obvious cracks in her veneer. Inside, Violet is crumbling after her recent breakup with an ex who has already moved on and married.
