Private Practice season 6 spoilers: Kate Walsh confirms that she’s leaving!
Kate Walsh has spoken out about the rumours and confirmed that she will be leaving Private Practice. However, fear not PP fans, as she has a whole season to get through, before she makes the jump.
The stunning actress revealed yesterday that once filming wraps on the new sixth season of the popular medical drama, she will be hanging up her white coat and looking for a new job.
The 44 year old star was speaking on Bethenny Frankel’s new daytime talk show “Bethenny” yesterday, when she explained:
“This is my last season of Private Practice.”
Walsh added:
“It’s been an incredible journey and an amazing ride… and I feel incredibly grateful to Shonda Rhimes and all the fans that have been there from day one ’til now.”
“I’m really excited about the last season.”
In 2005, Kate was cast in the ABC series, Grey’s Anatomy, as Dr. Addison Montgomery, the estranged spouse of Derek Shepherd. It was announced in 2007 that Walsh’s character would be in a spin-off show named Private Practice, that began airing in September 2007.
The sixth season of the show is expected to return for its sixth season this autumn at 10 P.M. every Tuesday. It is thought that it will be a shorter series than usual.
Series regular Tim Daly won’t be on the new run either and last May, he tweeted his fans saying:
“Wonderful fans of PP. Shonda informed my agent today that Pete wont be returning for season 6. It was a great 5 yrs. R.I.P. Pete Wilder.”
