Queen’s Diamond Jubilee river pageant VIP guest is a convicted sex offender!

Last weekend saw a flotilla of boats taking to the River Thames to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee…

And of course, all the senior royals were in attendance and on the Royal Barge, where a number of VIP guests joined the royal party.

However, it’s been revealed today that one of those guests, who stood just feet away from Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, was Harbinder Singh Rana who is a convicted sex offender.

The paper states, “Unknown to other VIPs enjoying the occasion during Sunday’s 1,000-boat Thames flotilla, he is a convicted sex attacker who has served time for a series of despicable attacks on women.”

Last night, several senior MPs demanded an investigation into how Rana slipped through the supposedly tight security net, and vetting of guests, that should protect the royals from being in the presence of convicted criminals has failed so badly…

It has been revealed that in 1986, a jury heard how Rana tricked his way into his victims’ homes by posing as a doctor, before subjecting them to internal examinations. He even gave some of the women injections.

He was sentenced to four years imprisonment after being convicted of five counts of indecent assault, 11 counts of assault causing actual bodily harm and one of attempted assault.

While speaking to the paper, Rana said, “I was given the invitation and I attended.

“The fact that the Prince of Wales invited me clearly shows what I have done for the community since then.”

And of his conviction, he said, “It was very circumstantial. It is an area I have switched off from my life and got on with it.”

A spokesman for Clarence House said, “The office of Prince Charles was unaware of his previous convictions.”

Last night, Steve McCabe, who’s the MP for Birmingham Selly Oak, said, “It is an astonishing situation in terms of security. I’m flabbergasted.

“There should be a police investigation into how this was allowed to happen.

“Who the prince wants to entertain in private is his concern, but this was a public event. Questions need to be answered.

“I would like to know who thought he was an appropriate guest for an event involving so many women.

“Whoever was in charge of vetting Prince Charles’s guest list needs to start earning his money.”

It is kind of ironic – in a horrible way – that the security services were so worried about the whole event that they placed rocket launchers on top of London’s tallest buildings, in order to shoot down planes or missiles – yet a convicted criminal was allowed to be at the heart of the Royal party.

Pretty shocking eh?
