Quentin Tarantino And Samuel L Jackson On Jonathan Ross

Samuel L JacksonQuentin Tarantino reveals an impromptu meeting with Cherie Blair when he joins Jonathan Ross for the second edition of the new season of his multi award-winning BBC One show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.

The Academy Award-winning director, in the UK for the launch of his new movie Death Proof, met the ex-Prime Minister’s wife in Liverpool.

He tells Jonathan: “I loved Liverpool, I met Cherie Blair. We were in the same hotel. She asked to have a picture [taken] with me… I have to say she was a little saucy! We put our arms round each other for the picture, she said actually, my husband’s off, that’ll teach him. She was joking, but she was a sweetheart, it was really cool.”

There is a lesson in sartorial savvy from fashion style duo Trinny & Susannah who reveal their latest series has brought them even closer together.

Trinny says: “We were so elated at the end of our last series, we snogged.”

Susannah says: “Our relationship is like a marriage, there are times when we fall out, but I think it’s more successful than most marriages.”

And on their fear of looking old, Susannah says: “I don’t want to let go for a second… I find ageing terrifying, you see so many women who say they feel completely invisible… I was shown this image of myself [as I might look at] 70, and it was like being kicked in the stomach.”

Jonathan also welcomes to the show Samuel L Jackson, in the UK to host Swarovski Fashion Rocks for the Prince’s Trust and looking forward to meeting HRH The Prince of Wales again.

Samuel says: “‘I hope he’ll be there rocking out. His whole life is a chill… like a movie star.’”

And there’s music from BRIT award-winner KT Tunstall performing Hold On live in the studio.
