Richard and Judy Splitting Up?

Richard Madeley has revealed that he and his wife Judy Finnigan are considering going their seperate ways in terms of their TV careers.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, Madeley said: “It’s been 20 years of doing the same kind of thing.”
He talked about “tantalising” solo projects which both had been offered and said they were strongly considering their options once their current contract with Watch runs out.
Richard told presenter Kirsty Young: “I think we both feel we have done pretty much all we can do as a partnership in terms of the talk shows, but I think probably we both feel the need to diversify.
“I am not saying we will never work together again – I’m sure we will,” he added.
Richard also told listeners that he and Judy had expected the low viewing figures that their show has been receiving, but really believes that the show’s audience will grow.
Madeley explained: “We knew before we went that viewing figures were going to be minuscule.
“The only disappointment so far is the channel as a whole hasn’t taken good traction. If I thought the show was rubbish I would feel embarrassed and so would Judy.
“But it’s a good show. We’re getting really good guests and we just hope the audience will build.”
