One of the stars of the US version of The Office, Angela Kinsey, has admitted that she’d love to have Ricky Gervais star in the American show.

Angela, who plays Angela Martin, added that although Ricky had visited the set of the US show, she’d like him to actually appear in an episode.

She told the PA, “He’s been able to stop now and then and it’s great for us. We’re such big fans of where the show started so I hope so.”

When asked if she thought it was likely that Ricky would make a cameo appearance in the show, she replied, “I don’t know and I would be the last to know because I’m kinda chatty and so I don’t think they would want me to know…

“Because even at my best I’d be like, ‘I’m not going to say anything on the red carpet’ and then I’d be like, ‘Ricky comes back’ and that would be it, I would tell someone that Ricky was back.”
