Ricky Whittle has admitted that he plans to pursue a career in Hollywood, after he finishes on Hollyoaks next year.

Ricky, who came second in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing revealed that it has always been his dream to star in a major Hollywood blockbuster.

He told The News Of The World:

“Going to America has been my dream for as long as I remember.

“I don’t have a home there yet or a definite job but there are a couple of dramas and films I am in discussions about.

“I have even thought about Broadway now I know I can dance but my real passion is films and drama.

“I’d love to be the next Will Smith. He started out in the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air and now he is an Oscar-nominated actor.

“I have told my mum that when I make it big and am an Oscar-winning star she can be my cook and my dad can be my driver! I would rather go there and fail than not try at all.

“I am a regular at Cineworld in St Helens. Carley and I would sometimes go and watch three or four films a day together.”
