Rob Lowe has admitted that while he has taken up the dangerous sport of heliiskiing, he won’ let his teenage sons accompany him.

Rob, who is father to 16-year-old Matthew and 13 year old John, told Ellen DeGeneres: “It’s doing something very dangerous. I have not taken the kids. They want to go. That’s a little bit of a discussion at home. My wife is like, ‘Are you crazy?’ I think we’re going to have to wait until they are at least old enough to shovel me out.”

Lowe did let his sons accompany him to their first Emmy Awards ceremony this year, the 45-year-old actor explained: “They were happy to attend because they’ve never done anything like that before, because we kept them away from Hollywood until they were old enough to sort of get it.”

He added: “They were just thrilled that we had better seats than the guys from Entourage. I was like, ‘Yeah, daddy’s still got his fastball.’ They’re my best buds for sure.”
