“Heroes” is set to get more sinister this season with the addition of Robert Knepper as a series regular.

Knepper is best known as the troublesome T-Bag on Prison Break. His new character Samuel aka “Carnival Barker”, will be an evil Earth-moving ringleader of a travelling carnival, who attempts to recruit more of our favourite heroes into his group.

Knepper had originally signed for only six episodes of the show, but has so far appeared in every episode filmed. He may follow in the footsteps of Zachary Quinto (Sylar) who was also supposed to star in the show on a short term basis.

Robert has also made appearances on Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, La Femme Nikita, New York Undercover, Tour of Duty, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager CSI: Miami and The West Wing.
