Emmerdale actress, Roxanne Pallett has paid tribute to her late co-star Clive Hornby who died of cancer last year.

Clive played Jack Sugden on the ITV soap and his character’s funeral takes place this week.

Roxanne, who is currently competing in ITV1’s Dancing on Ice, told MSN: “I had the privilege of working with Clive for three years, he and Jack were both really similar characters.

“They were both really noble and both gentleman, the character of Jack was just loved by everyone because he was gentle, responsible, reliable, caring and that was just Clive down to a tee. He always had time for everybody.

“He didn’t have to be the loudest or the centre of attention, he would always be a man of few words but what words he did have were memorable and were honest. He was just a lovely man. He had a great presence whenever we worked with him.”
