Russell Brand Reignites Scandal!

Russell Brand

Russell Brand is again at the centre of a controversy following his remarks after winning an award at the British Comedy Awards last night for Best Stand-Up Performance.

The Daily Star Sunday reports that Brand said the Manuelgate affair had made him “more popular than ever” and he dubbed Jonathan Ross a “kingmaker”.

The show’s host, presenter and comedian Angus Deayton, commented that the people who’d complained – some 50,000 of them – about Brand and Ross’s call to Andrew Sachs were, “self-righteous tw*ts”.

In his acceptance speech, Brand said, “I’d like to dedicate this award to Jonathan Ross. It’s a very great shame that Jonathan’s not there hosting the show tonight. There IS no British Comedy Awards without Jonathan Ross.

He’s the king-maker.”

His comments, as well as those made by Deayton, are sure to re-ignite the controversy surrounding the now infamous phone call affair. What do you think about his comments?
