I love a bit of Ryan Seacrest, be it on American Idol or presenting one of the many fab shows on the E! Entertainment channel. However I love him even more now that he has admitted to lying to some of the A list stars he meets on the red carpet events he covers.

“Sometimes I find myself saying: ‘That looks…’ and sometimes ‘great’ comes out before I can process I’ve said it, or ‘fantastic’,” he explained.

“And then I watch it back – and it does look different on television – and think that was not a ‘great’, that was a ‘less than great’.”

Discussing his style predictions The Oscars tomorrow night, he said: “I think that it will be a more subdued Oscars – I think it will be a bit more modest than it has been in years past.

“You’ll see probably less really expensive jewels on some of the women – that’s about all I know about the girls’ fashion! – and I think it’ll be a little understated this year.”
