Corrie actor Ryan Thomas has told Holy Soap magazine that in upcoming weeks, he’ll be seen in a lot more scenes with his on-screen mum Eileen, played by Sue Cleaver.

He explained that his was because his character’s been spending so much time lately with his grieving on-screen girlfriend Tina, played by Michelle Keegan.

But Ryan confirmed that as Jason’s relationship with Tina begins to break down, Jason will be spending a lot more time with Eileen.

Ryan said, “What’s important for Corrie is that you don’t forget I’m a family member and I’m part of the Grimshaws because I’ve been away from them doing a lot with Michelle.

“It’s going to be nice to get back in with them. There may be a few arguments but that’s good for the Grimshaws because Eileen will always give you that comedy storyline but with a dramatic side too.

“It’s been emotional for Michelle, it’s been emotional for all of us involved in it but especially for Michelle, it’s been hard-going but she’s been fantastic.”
