Former Coronation Street actress Sarah Lancashire will be the latest star to appear on BBC One hit TV show, Doctor Who.

Sarah will appear in the upcoming fourth series of the show and will play villainess Miss Foster who posesses her own sonic screwdriver.

She told The Sun: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be in Doctor Who. It’s a brilliant episode.”

A BBC insider added: “This series is going to be the best yet. Sarah’s a cracking actress.”
