Sci Fi Snap Up Dollhouse & Knight Rider For UK

The Sci Fi Channel has acquired the rights to two of the biggest shows to emerge from America in the last year, Dollhouse and Knight Rider. Both programmes will be part of the channel’s UK digital spring programming line-up.

I know that personally I have been gagging to have a look at Joss Whedon’s latest offering which centres round a young woman who as a member of an illegal organization has her memories and personality wiped clean and imprinted with new ones in order to fulfill assignments catering to the wealthy and powerful. It’s great news that the show is finally coming to UK TV and though I could live without the Knight Rider remake I know many men (my hubby for one) are eagerly awaiting its return.

If you are interested in reading more about DollHouse click here for a great review, click here for a slightly more critical one of Knight Rider.

The new shows will hit Sci Fi UK following NBC Universal’s announcement that it is changing the name of the Sci Fi Channel to Syfy. The channel’s website is also going to be renamed as syfy.com.
