Fabulous US drama Lipstick Jungle, starring Brooke Shields and written by Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell, launched exclusively on LIVING this September. LIVING, the channel dedicated to guilty pleasures, is pleased to announce it is bringing even more glamour and escapism to screens this winter by not making anyone wait for season 2! And it just keeps on getting better. Starting on LIVING on November 17th, a week after the finale of series 1, the second season of Lipstick Jungle continues to follow Wendy, Nico and Victory as they juggle their lives and loves on a day-to-day basis.
Wendy is struggling with disciplining her daughter Maddie after discovering her in a bar with a fake ID and also the imminent arrival of her mother Joyce (Mary Tyler Moore), whilst Victory meets her new publicist Dahlia (Rosie Perez¸ White Men Can’t Jump) who has gossip on a new treatment for a ‘very private area’ using collagen that Nico is tempted to try. Victory is adamant not to get back together with billionaire boyfriend Joe (Andrew McCarthy), but he is making in hard for her as he endeavours to win her back. It’s a tempestuous time for Nico, as she tries to make a go of her marriage, despite having an affair with photography assistant Kirby (Robert Buckley) but finds him pulling away from her. As he goes in for a double bypass Nico discovers an awful secret about her husband’s own indiscretions.
Filling the void left by Sex and the City and from the same author – Candace Bushnell – this sexy, enticing new drama follows three high-powered friends who aren’t looking for Mr Big – they are Mr Big working out how to fit in their families, sex lives, affairs, high-powered business deals and scandals whilst still looking fabulous and being at the top of the career food chain. Movie Exec Wendy Healy (Brooke Shields), Bonfire magazine editor in chief Nico Reilly (Kim Raver, 24) and top fashion designer Victory Ford (Lindsay Price, Beverly Hills 90210) are three fabulous women who are holding their own in a man’s world, supporting each other through the New York lipstick jungle that is their domain.
