A prominent women’s charity has claimed that ITV2 show ‘Secret Diary Of A Call Girl’ glamourises the seedy world of prostitution.

Poppy Project chief executive Denise Marshall told the Sunday People that the show does not convey the reality of prostitution for young women.

Billie Piper has just returned as Belle in the second series of the show last Thursday, but Marshall said that her association with the programme is “obscene”.

She said: “She is an actress who has certain choices… For this privileged young woman to misrepresent the reality of prostitution is appalling.”
