See full list of categories and nominations for The 18th National Television Awards! (VIDEO)

It’s been revealed today that in addition to the usual categories and awards that’ll be handed out at the 18th National Television Awards this year, there’s to be an additional award which will be a nod to the Olympics which were of course held in London this year.

We have the full list of categories and who’s nominated after the jump – as well as a clip of host Dermot O’Leary explaining how to vote – but first, of the new gong, which is called the Landmark Award, when the ceremony takes place on January 23rd, we’ll see key members of Team GB in the running (pun intended).

During a special film that will air at the ceremony, we’ll see the NTA’s organisers saying, “Was it Her Majesty the Queen skydiving into the Olympic Stadium James Bond-style, Mo Farah winning the 5,000 and 10,000m, or Ellie Simmonds’s triple swimming triumph that made you weep and cheer?

“This summer saw record TV audiences captivated by Olympic and Paralympic events…

“To pay homage to the UK’s greatest Olympic teams in over 100 years, the National Television Awards will be presenting a Landmark Award to key members of London 2012.”

You can vote in the NTAs by clicking here, but for now, here’s the full list of categories and who’s nominated for an award…

As mentioned, the National Television Awards is live on ITV1 on January 23rd, and here’s the lovely Dermot to tell you all about it…

  1. Jez says:

Want to stop Loose Women AND This Morning from winning? Now you can by voting for Pointless at the NTAs. After being screwed by being considered in the wrong category last year, Pointless could actually win this category. Want a decent winner? Vote Pointless!
