Sex Change Soldier Coming To Channel 4
Channel 4 is to air a documentary telling the tale of the first ever Para go have a sex change later this month.
The show will be called Sex Change Soldier, and will tell the story of Parachute Regiment Captain Ian Hamilton, 43, who last year had sex change surgery and is now known as Jan.
A C4 spokesman told The Sun: “The documentary is an intimate and raw portrait of a remarkable year as the alpha male Para transformed into an ultra-feminine woman.
“He has a more feminine face thanks to facial feminisation surgery, breasts have replaced his pecs and he’s had sexual reassignment surgery to become a complete woman.
“Now Jan has more battles to face – to be accepted by her friends and family and the Army – she was not allowed to take up a posting as an Army Media Liaison Officer in Gibraltar and is now taking the Army to an industrial tribunal.”
Sex Change Soldier will air on Channel 4 an March the 20th at 9PM

i hope that u can pass on my congratulations to jan for achieving her goal. i found it an emotional roller coaster and my heart immediatly went out to her. she is a bueatiful lady who deserves respect , after all she has been through this is the least she is owed. i have children but i could never turn my back on them…regardless. you have kids to love them… we may bring them into the world but as a adult jan had the right to do what she needed to do to be complete. i only wish that her parents could see what a bueatiful, kind, caring and wonderful daughter they have. all my love and best wishes to a very courages lady.i hope you enjoy all that life has to offer. grasp it with both hands. maria, xxx

thought the documentary covered most areas of transgender. dont fully understand and cannot empathise with jan but obviously she would not entertain painful and costly surgery unless c she was totally unhappy.
her parents should perhaps be thankful that she is still alive or would they have preferred an unhappy ian to have commited suicide. bet they would have put his madals on display then !!!!!!!!!!!!
good luck jan x
