Sheridan Smith and Johnny Vegas to star in new TV adaptation of David Walliams kids book, Mr Stink!

Mrs Biggs star, Sheridan Smith has teamed up with funny man Johnny Vegas to star in a TV adaptation of the David Walliams kid’s novel, Mr Stink!

Britain’s Got Talent judge, Walliams, made the announcement of Sheridan’s, who is currently dating Amy Winehouse’s ex, Reg Traviss, and Vegas’, who starred in the hit ITV comedy, Benidorm, involvement in the project on social networking site, Twitter, earlier today, tweeting: “Sheridan Smith and Johnny Vegas are playing the mum and dad in ‘Mr Stink’. Exciting!”

He continued: “The cast read-through for the BBC’s adaptation of ‘Mr Stink’ went well yesterday. Hugh Bonneville was astonishingly good in the title role.

“One of my favourite comic actors in the world Harish Patel plays Raj. I saw him in ‘Run Fatboy Run’. He was in my mind when I created Raj.”

Mr Stink is the story of a little girl named Chloe who makes friends with a local tramp, Mr Stink, and invites him live at the end of her family’s garden.

The title role in this already epic tale will be portrayed by Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville, and David himself will make a brief appearance as the Prime Minister.
