Sherlock creator says three words that hint about series three are ‘rat’ ‘wedding’ and ‘bow’

Sherlock creator Steven Moffat has been teasing fans about the outcome of the cliffhanger which featured in the last series’ finale which of course saw the sleuth plunging – apparently – to his death.

However, as fans will know, we saw Sherlock appearing at his own funeral which of course has had viewers going nuts trying to figure out what’s going on.

Of how the cliffhanger will be explained in the new series, Moffat said that there are three words which will give fans hints about series three, and they are, ‘rat’ ‘wedding’ and ‘bow’

The Daily Mail reports on the teasing from Moffat after they caught up with him at the Edinburgh TV Festival.

Of the various clues there have already been which could explain how Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) apparently came back from the dead, Moffat said, “So many people theorising – and they missed it.”

The finale episode, which was entitled The Reichenbach Fall, was of course based on the 1893 Arthur Conan Doyle book, The Final Problem, in which the author famously killed off the sleuth.

And last year, Moffat similarly teased that there were three words which gave hints about series two, and they were Adler, hound and Reichenbach, which of course all turned out to relate to the key plots of each episode.

So, are you any the wiser as to the big mystery?
