Sherlock star Lara Pulver “inundated” with offers of sexy work, but says she WILL return to the show!
As fans of hit drama Sherlock will know, actress Lara Pulver played the role of kinky dominatrix Irene Adler in an episode entitled A Scandal In Belgravia, and that particular installment catapulted Sherlock to the number one spot of most watched shows on BBC’s iPlayer.
In controversial scenes, a naked Irene fascinated Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and at the end of the episode, which aired on New Year’s Day, he was seen rescuing her from a death sentence in Pakistan.
And today, the Daily Star claims that Lara has hinted that she will be back at some point in the show’s next series to reprise the role of Irene, however, the paper didn’t disclose any further details on that.
But it did add that Lara – who even has her own Twitter appreciation group entitled Whip Hand – revealed that following the sensational scenes, she’s been “inundated” with offers of erotic roles…
While speaking to the Radio Times, Lara said, “I take my clothes off for a minute and a half and everyone suddenly goes, ‘Oh great, she’s an actress who will take her clothes off.
“‘We can’t get Kate Winslet. Let’s see if Lara Pulver will do a swinger movie.’”
However, one role that Lara did accept following her Sherlock success is one in a new Channel 4 drama entitled Camouflage, which features Lara as Annette who works as a camouflagist, teaching patients how to conceal their scars with make-up.
Channel 4 adds of the forthcoming drama, “When Riza [Ashley Walters] walks into her consulting room, she finds herself covering up more than just the scars from his past in Sierra Leone.”
